9 years ago I was living my dream.

I was working in a top NYC Advertising Agency and seemingly happy, but something was missing. I had spent years in agencies and jobs where I had zero control, limited quality of life, and despite my greatest efforts remained stagnant and unappreciated. Every two weeks I received a paycheck not reflecting my actual efforts and my "what am I doing?!" mantra repeated daily in my mind. Living for the weekend and counting down to my next PTO days scared me—it scared me to death. I wasn't living up to my potential and I needed to take back the reigns of my life. 

I decided to venture out on my own and my freelance career began. I made a vow to travel as much as possible for the next few years and see as much as I could see, experience as many new things as possible, try to give back to those in need, and work my butt off to live comfortably on top of that. This became my journey. And so, 'Hello Renegade' was born.

'Hello Renegade' is about going against the 'norm' and living life a bit more unconventionally than most. It's the sense of freedom that comes when you follow your own path and do what feels right for you. It's that all encompassing notion of 'hair blowing in the wind'. And ultimately, it's a celebration of being “me”.

I'll be sharing my personal life experiences through travel, life in advertising, other blogs and articles that inspire me, and whatever else I fancy in the moment. Who knows, you may even get a laugh or two at my expense. Come along with me, I want to share my journey!
